MKF is very sensitive for the area of Nafpaktos because of the late Colonel Botzaris distinguished member of the administrative Board of the MKF Foundation and the also late professor of climatology in the university of Athens Ioannis Zambakas who were born and grown up in the area of Nafpaktos. For this reason the MKF has organized a small project of environmental education, information and intervention in the broader area of Nafpaktos. In the frame of this project on the 13th of March 2011, the president of MKF professor and member of the Academy of Athens Christos Zerefos gave a lecture in the central sale of manifestations of Nafpaktos under the title “Climate change and influences in our life”. The bishop, the Major, other Officials of the town and many people where present in this very successful manifestation. Two additional short presentations took place at the same evening, one relevant to the establishment, evolution and plans of the MKF and another which described an automatic meteorological station which it was installed at the 2nd Lyceum of Nafpaktos on April 2011.
