The Awarding\u00a0Ceremony took place on May 17, 2006 in\u00a0Anavyssos, Attica and it was attended\u00a0by the Secretary-General for Research\u00a0and Technology, representatives of the\u00a0Academy of Athens, the Hellenic National\u00a0Meteorological Service, the Ministry of\u00a0Economy and the Ministry of Education.<\/li>\n<li>The Foundation, in collaboration with the\u00a0Committee on the Study of the Global\u00a0Change (IGBP-Global Change), Academy\u00a0of Athens, co-organized a Colloquium on\u00a0\u201cClimate Change\u201d. Zerefos, the Nobel Prize winners, Professors S. Rowland, M. Molina and P. Crutzen, the NCAR Director, Professor G. Brasseur, Dr. S. Solomon among distinguished scientists and officials from NASA, NOA, CNRS, Max Planck etc. in the front line (Athens, Sept. 2007).<\/p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>The Foundation, in collaboration with\u00a0the Academy of Athens, the United\u00a0Nations Environment Program, the\u00a0World Meteorological Organization, the\u00a0International Ozone Commission and the\u00a0National Observatory of Athens, organized\u00a0a scientific Symposium between September\u00a023-26, 2007 in Athens on the 20th anniversary\u00a0since the signing of the Montreal Protocol\u00a0on the Protection of the Ozone Layer. The\u00a0Symposium was attended by more than 200\u00a0Academicians and distinguished scientists,\u00a0among whom were the three scientists who\u00a0have been honored with the Nobel Prize for\u00a0Chemistry, Professors S. Rowland, M. Molina,\u00a0and P. Crutzen. The Symposium Proceedings\u00a0were published by Springer Publishing.
